Moves, matchups, and battle items

1. Open an item to read it

   The item description tells you what it changes. Inspecting or cancelling does not spend it.

2. Watch affinities and styles

   Creature habitats, move styles, and weapon affinities matter. Read the matchup and effect text shown in battle.

3. Try a different approach

   Guard to reduce a threat, boost before an important attack, or switch to another healthy pet.

4. Save supplies for the right moment

   Support and weapon actions have different turn rules. Check the description before using one.
